Long time, no blog.

As you can obviously see. I haven't really kept up with my blog in practically a year. I want to try to be more consistent with my updates.

A lot of things have changed since the last time I posted.
Since then:

I've become a Junior.
I've turned 17.
I have been licensed to drive.
I have been accepted on to my school's radio staff. WRFT. 91.5 Flash FM.
I have had guys come and go. But right now, that is the least of my worries.
God still works in subtle yet extraordinary ways in my life.(Sometimes ways I don't realize til later on.)

I've decided to make the last years I have in high school count. I want to excel more than I ever have in my high school career. Which means I have to work on dropping the habits of being so darn lazy and procrastinating. It will be hard, but I think I can do it! Also I want to become more open. More of an extrovert to those who don't already know me. Radio is really going to help me with that. I am honestly excited for the journey of twists and turns this next school year throws at me. I am so ready.

Matthew 21:22 talks about believing in whatever you pray for, and if you do, your prayers will be answered.
I came across this verse in Bible reading a little while back and decided to try and put this concept into action. I began to have more confidence in what I prayed. You know what? It worked! There have been two significant instances that I have prayed confidently and diligently to the point that God answered my prayers. It is really a good feeling when you know and see God working through your life. I thank Him daily for answering my prayers and will continually because the results of him answering my prayers have changed my life for the time being.
And again, I thank you, God.
I know that God is working in my life and knows what is best. I trust him with all of my heart and look forward to what he has to reveal to me next.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Well, things haven't really been looking up lately. I have a lot of things on my plate. I've been praying about it everyday and whenever I can remember too and been reading my bible. I just hope that certain things are revealed, certain work out, etc. I'm just hoping that this retreat that I am going on this weekend will really help because I REALLY need it..

"For I know the plans I have for you." declares the Lord "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."

So, it's a new year. It's time for something new... a change. A change for the better.
I don't know what this year has in store for me but I trust in what he has planned.

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

well, a lot has been going on lately.. some good and some just... eh. i'm going to the mission council meetings each month. so far it still seems like the right thing. i've been trying to do the Crisis Care Kits in my youth group... but it's not going so well. only one person besides me has brought anything in... but i know it will turn out well. just trusting him :)

i'vc has some other things going on with me.. but i don't think i'm going to post that on the world wide web. haha.. but yeah... it's just been kind of rough. but again, more than ever.. I am trusting in God.

Thy Will Not Mine

So, I'm pretty excited! Me and a few other girls (Lindsay, Julie, and Hanna) had the genius idea to start a bible study on Sunday night. Since the service is kind of boring(you have to admit) we thought we do something for the teens because we don't have the Shore all the time(or at all anymore :/)
We're thinking that we'll base the bible study off of the NYC devotional books we got last summer in St. Louis. So we have all planned out and stuff and I have a feeling that it is going to go great!

Plus, the crisis care kits that I am doing are in progress. Nothing has been brought in yet though. It might take some time though, I guess. I believe we can do it, soooo.... our goal will be achieved! haha

I've got to go. I'm at the library and only have so much time to be on here.
